Using twitter, the right way 👌
Hello 👋 this one is for all you twitter users. If most of the sentences below do not make sense, join twitter and all your questions will be answered.
How to use Twitter like a champ
A thread 🧵
First of all, make sure you split your message into several tweets
If your message is not in multiple tweets, then you are not ready and your idea is most probably rubbish
Never, never, never, ever start your first tweet without saying “a thread”. This should always be followed by an emoji of a thread spool
Not doing any of the above will make you look like an absolute amateur. Nobody will take you seriously
Your first part should always be an outlandish proposition. The crazier, the better. Ex: “you are sitting on assets worth $5 trillion right now”, “it is much easier to make $500k than it is to make $5”, “How I made my first million using just a handkerchief and a shiv”
Don’t worry about mis-leading. Remember, only a small part of your statement in a very very specific context needs to be true. It doesn’t matter that the sentence, when read like an ordinary human sounds crazy
Always end the tweet with asking people to follow you
Remember, this is not facebook, so don’t say things like: “your hamster will die if you don’t forward this”, “your marriage and your teeth will fall off if not reshared within 5 hours”
Twitter is a much more intellectual crowd, all the above is understood. It does not need to be spelt out
You know your tweet has truly made it, when “bros” cannot believe how much value is in the tweet, and that too for free!! Infact, many will feel guilty reading this without paying you a hefty sum of money
Never send your paypal or buymeacoffee link in the tweet. That is what DMs are for
Lastly, do not ever, for the love of god, post something about web3 without first changing your profile to an NFT image
(Special Bonus tip): If you do not own an NFT, quickly scribble something on paint and save it as your profile. You do not need a stylus, a mouse will do just fine, so will a trackpad. Infact, the more unintelligible your image looks, the better
